AKS Art students provide bird boxes for Park View 4U

Art students from Years 7 and 8 have spent 10 weeks designing and painting bird boxes, which were then donated to Park View 4U in Lytham.

The art students began their individual designs during 'National Nest Box Week'.

When delivering their bird boxes to the park they were treated to a woodland walk - where they could choose a site for their own creation. Students had a lesson in the park's outdoor classroom and learnt all about the different types of nests that the birds in the area would make.

The whole experience really showed the creativity and enthusiasm that our Art students have and their willingness to make a contribution to their community and the environment. PUBLISHED: 16 June 2022
