Bronze DofE students complete practice expedition

The Bronze D of E pupils from Year 10 have successfully completed their practice expedition over the weekend near Beacon Fell. They developed their navigation, campcraft and teamwork skills in preparation for their qualifying expedition.

It was a very cold evening on Sunday night and the participants woke up to a frosty morning, but they managed to cook on their trangia stoves effectively fuelling them up for the challenging walk ahead.

As the day warmed up their spirts lifted, and they successfully navigated over Beacon Fell enjoying the stunning views across the Lancashire countryside to the Fylde Coast.

We now look forward to the qualifying expedition in May. Well done to all participants. PUBLISHED: 24 March 2022
