Welcome to our new Contingent Commander for the Combined Cadet Force at AKS Lytham, Captain Phil Hayes.
Captain Hayes has been in the forces, predominantly Royal Artillery, for over 22 years in a variety of roles and has had a number of appointments within the CCF since leaving in 2007. Further to this he has worked in a variety of educational posts and remains so to date.
Here at AKS Lytham we have a fantastic team under his command guided by our School Staff Instructor (SSI) Mrs Sharon Hobson-Woodhead. Our aim is to guide and ensure that the cadets have a constructive but enjoyable time, whilst using this opportunity to encapsulate new skills that they are able to use during their time both within the cadet force and their respective time whilst at the school.
All necessary precautions have been made, both by the Cadet Force and school, to ensure that students are safe to attend the Cadet Force on a Monday evening. We are looking forward to great programme, with a variety of activities such as shooting and archerty to mention a few.
Cadet Force resumes on Monday 2nd November from 16:15 pm to 17:45pm.
