Prep Chamber Choir take home trophy after competing in Last Choir Singing competition

Last Friday the Prep Chamber Choir competed in the final of the last choir singing competition. After listening to 9 other wonderful performances, we took to the stage and sung our hearts out. First of all, we sang "Sing together" with a beautiful solo from Lucy and then joined elegantly by George. The Choir worked so hard on the actions, and they certainly impressed! Next was the chance to sing our own song, "I will stand up tall". Mr Thomas' song challenged our chamber choir as it was the first time we had sung in 3-part harmony! The soloists Rowan and Maisie were stunning and showed no nerves in front of over 1000 people! The choir sang wonderfully, and this was proved when our last chord finished, and the round of applause started... It was the biggest round of applause out of all 10 performers... The crowd absolutely loved it!

We are so proud to announce that we came in 3^rd place and received a trophy and £150 towards new music! The choir's performance was just outstanding, their dedication, commitment, determination, and talent was clear for all to see. Mr Thomas is beyond proud, especially of the Year 6's who will be moving up to senior school. They will be a great asset to the seniors and I hope to see them in music concerts next year!
