Earlier this term, our Early Years setting in the Nursery was inspected by Ofsted as part of their routine schedule. The final report has now been published, and I am delighted to share that we have been rated as ‘Outstanding’ – the highest possible grade – in all areas.
As well as reflecting upon the quality of the provision, the report also commended the effectiveness of our safeguarding arrangements. The report, which you can find here speaks for itself, but attention was drawn to the quality of the curriculum, to the high aspirations staff have for the children and the exemplary interaction they have with them, to the meticulous planning for the health and wellbeing of the children, to the wide range of opportunities, and to the manner in which staff strive for excellence and endeavour to keep developing professionally.
On a personal note, I can only thank and applaud my colleagues in the Nursery for their dedication, professionalism and care: I take none of it for granted and, as a parent, I have benefitted directly from all that they do. Inspections are incredibly pressured experiences - both in the anticipation and whilst they are happening - but they are just a snapshot of a team that is brilliant every day and, for that, I am profoundly grateful.
