Inquiry Learning Project forms part of Academic Enrichment Programme

PUBLISHED 27 April 2023

As part of the 6th Form Academic Enrichment Programme students in Year 12 have undertaken a course in inquiry learning, culminating in the publication of their combined essays in one volume. Students from Year 13 can be seen collecting their books as a memento of what they have achieved.

Each student writes a 2,500 word essay, based on a topic of their choice, and accompanies this with an academic poster describing the learning journey. Essays from this year group included “Will China follow the USA and Great Britain in the role of the next Global Policeman?”; “Exploring the influence Thelonious Monk had on Jazz Music.”; “Should patients with self-inflicted illnesses have equal access to health resources?” and “Are parental expectations influential in their adolescent’s performance in Secondary School?”.

Our Year 12 students are currently working on their own inquiry learning project, which will culminate in the Evening of Inquiry Learning on Wednesday 17th May.
