Year 2 explore The Lowry Art Gallery

Our Year 2 pupils have ended the term in style, with a fabulous day to Manchester this week, visiting The Lowry Art Gallery. 

Firstly, the children enjoyed a walk around Media City before exploring the original pictures of Lowry in the gallery. Having studied the artist this half term, the children got the opportunity to see many of his original paintings. They then took part in a wonderful workshop led by a knowledgeable artist who encouraged us to sketch landscapes and create our own collage.

A great day out with several members of the public commenting on the pupil's exceptional behaviour and manners.
