Science Day at AKS Prep was out of this world!

24th March 2023 - Science Day at AKS Prep

What a fantastic day. Seeing the array of Science-themed characters was amazing, ranging from astronauts to doctors, to dinosaurs, to planets and so many more!

In the morning, we were treated to a brilliant assembly about Space and all its wonders from Zara in Y12. Then the Science fun could begin. As a whole school, we took part in two investigations, the first being 'Are bigger hands able to pick up more objects?' and 'Who can throw the furthest airplane?' with various follow-ups - be sure to ask what conclusions we came up with! We also took part in a competition to identify different objects with a zoomed-in photo.

All in all, a brilliant day that was thoroughly enjoyed!
