The long journey to Bradford for AKS was rewarded with some great games and a fantastic set of results. The 1st XI game was a tight affair that could have gone either way but ended in a 4-4 draw. In an end to end game, both teams created goal scoring opportunities and it proved to be a ‘tit for tat’ game throughout. Bradford were the first to break the deadlock but this was nullified very quickly by a brilliantly taken goal by Katie L Bradford went ahead again, following some tenacious play in the circle, but AKS were very quick to respond with a lovely goal scored by Katie T.  Bradford ended the first half with another goal taking a lead into the second half.  After the break a quality solo run and strike from Lucy B brought the scores back level at 3-3 and then for the first time in the game, AKS took the lead as Katie T added to her tally to make it 4 - 3. However, Bradford fought back to claim the equaliser with 5 minutes left on the clock and the game finished with honours even at 4 – 4.

The U15's  started the well with a brilliant through ball from Lisa P to Lucy W, Lucy dribbled and delivered the ball to Laura who scored an excellent goal to make it 1 - 0. We then saw excellent teamwork from Eve C and Anna V down the right side of the pitch  with Harper C and Daisy-Mae E taking up excellent positions ready in the D. In addition, we saw very good defending from Lucy W, Charlotte C and Freya W who kept possession of the ball for the majority of the time. Carrera M-M also made some excellent saves ain goal.

In the second Half we saw excellent defending from Lara K who managed to stop most of the balls from getting into the D. After a good 10 minutes and putting pressure on the Bradford girls, Lucy W dribbled and passed the ball to Harper C leading up to Daisy-Mae E’s scoring with a well taken reverse scoop. We then saw Lisa P drive down the centre and score a superb goal. Anna V who stepped up from the year 8 squad dominated on the RW and then managed to sneak a cheeky goal behind the keeper. Unfortunately, Bradford managed to get a goal in, but Sasha, who was keeper in the second half, made it up with a magnificent save. AKS continued to attack with their heads held high. In the last 10 minutes Harper C and Daisy-Mae E had brilliant positioning in the D ready to score goals. Also, an additional well done to Daisy-Mae E who got her first goal of the season and Lara K who got player of the match. Overall, an outstanding effort by the AKS under 15’s!

The U14 game was another close match with the final score being 1-1. Many players were making their debuts for the team and they rose to the challenge superbly. With new players and others playing out of position it took us a while to settle but as the game went on we started to dominate with Hannah A and Charlotte L linking well in midfield. We deservedly took the lead in19th minute when Charlotte L found the net with a great corner strike. A great save from Sophie S kept us ahead but Bradford equalised before the break. We started second half confidently and a great run and pass from Rosie L found Stevie on left post but her shot flew wide. Great defending from Emelie B and Lilly G thwarted the Bradford attacks and when they did get a shot away Sophie S was on hand to save. We nearly snatched a late winner in the last minute when a Rosie L effort flew inches wide but at final whistle score 1-1. Players of the match were  Lucy W and Hannah A.

In the U13 A team game both teams were well matched in what was a very competitive game throughout. The speedy Braford team came out firing on all cylinders and applied early pressure. AKS quickly realised that this was not going to be a walk in the park but once settled, they grew in confidence and created some fantastic goal scoring opportunities. This was testament to the girls' hard work and resulted in two very well worked team goals. At the other end, Bradford continued to test the AKS defence throughout the match and scored two goals of their own, however, AKS came out on top with a final goal to take the score to 3-2. Bradford voted goal scorer Camilla C as their Player of the Match, and AKS GK, Shelby Q received AKS's Player of the Match for her confident display in goal which kept AKS in the game.

The U13 B team were more comfortable winners the score ending up 5 – 0.

The U12A squad started the second half of the term as they finished the first with another dominant display against Bradford Grammar School. The team were quick to score their first goal, with Victoria H converting at a short corner. Emily F was next to score with an outstanding strike from the top of the circle. The team from Bradford created a few chances but the AKS defence was quick to counter any threat. AKS continued to impress throughout the match and finished as 6-0 winners with 2 goals apiece from Camilla W and Olivia W.

The U12B team game was much closer with AKS winning 1 – 0. The game started off with two excited teams with AKS holding most of the possession. Isla C controlled the game, feeding some great balls to Connie F, Kathryn S and Gabi H-S in attack. In defence it was kept tight with Georgina W displaying her experience and sturdy tackles communicating well to the other defenders, Claudia J, Aoife K  and Lauren A. The deadlock was broken before the break when a dashing run from Isla C  saw her score to give AKS a first half lead. The second half was evenly fought as Bradford Grammar managed to find their rhythm giving them several opportunities to score but Natalie H made a flurry of great saves, being appreciated by the opposition and got voted player of the match by BGS.
