U13

A great day of cricket saw our U13's lift the Wyre & Fylde Cup! Our team fought hard and overcame some tough opponents. It was great to see several players fight back through personal adversity and come out performing strongly for their teammates. Worthy winners and proud to lift the Wyre & Fylde Cup for the second consecutive year.

AKS 1/21 def St Bedes 9/20 (Zakk M 4/0 including a hat trick, Cody B 3/1)

AKS 6/91 def LSA 8/63 (Xavier D 32ret, Ethan B 21no, Michael R & Jacob L 2 wickets each)

U14

Our AKS U14 Cricketers are Wyre & Fylde Champions! Coming off the back of winning the cup in Y8, the team were keen to go back to back and set about it with positivity and skill. There were many highlights to the day and 3 wins from 3 against strong local opposition stands testament to the depth of our team. Every member of the team played their part on the day and we’re all part of this tremendous achievement. Our leadership group took a keen role in setting fields and ensuring our plans were carried out and their growth this year was excellent. The cornerstone of our cricket this year was positivity - winning from any position and always attacking or counter-attacking. Our oppositions were often frustrated by this, with our team never playing as conservatively as one may expect.

AKS 86/5 (Sammy C 20ret, Alfie K 22ret) def LSA 4/38 (Dan M 2 wickets)

AKS 4/79 (Rory U 18ret) def Hodgson 26 (Jake G 4 wickets, Harley 2 wickets)

AKS 4/83 (Harry J 25ret, Rory U 14) def St Bedes 4/52 (Rory U 2 wickets)

U15

Our U15 Girls achieved runners-up in the Lancashire Cup after winning 3 out of their 4 matches and only losing the final by one run on the last ball. The girls played tremendously well all day and have made huge improvements in their time in the cricket programme, achieving their best ever result. Highlights of the day included some hard-hitting batting from Evie F, Eve C, Jessica A & Katie S; tight bowling from Evie F, Sophie W, Eve C, and Daniella H; and some brilliant catching - in particular, a spectacular diving effort low to the ground by Katie S.

Game 1: Aks 107-7 Carnforth 81-1

2: Aks 91- 4 Pendle vale 68-5

3: Aks 100 Haslingden 45

Final: Aks 100 Urmston 101
