AKS U15 Girls win the North of Lancashire Cricket tournament

U15 Girls North Lancashire:

Game 1: AKS 122 Bay Leadership Academy 58

Game 2: AKS 82 Penwortham Girls Grammar 70

Final: AKS 88 Al Hallows Catholic High School 72

AKS U15 Girls have won the North of Lancashire Cricket tournament and will contest the Lancashire Cup Final next week at Blackpool Cricket Club.

The girls played several matches and went through undefeated at the tournament held at Bare Cricket Club near Morecambe.

The girls showed strength throughout the day with their batting, bowling and fielding whilst focusing on enjoying the game and doing their best.

AKS won matches versus the Bay Leadership Academy, Penwortham Girls Grammar and All Hallows Catholic High School. Highlights of the day included some big hitting from Katie S, Jess A and Lucy W plus a supreme all round performance from player of the day - Evie F.

The girls have been training throughout the winter and into the summer, displaying excellent development of their skills.

AKS have shown some form already this year, winning the title of County Champions in the other age group in which this is offered – U13s.
