Age is no barrier for our Tycoons "Just New Friend" offering friendship and laughter

Shortlisted Tycoons social enterprise ‘Just New Friends’ held their final games afternoon of the academic year earlier this week.

A new venue in the Sixth Form lounge welcomed several new faces, as around 50 guests joined from ‘Just Good Friends’.

It is a brave man who makes scones for discerning palettes, but pastry chef Dom won the day yet again as afternoon teas were taken and new friendships were made.

‘Beetle Drive’ opened proceedings followed by a good few rounds of dominoes. The showstopper ‘Play Your Cards Right’ once again didn’t disappoint and the fiendish decision of aces high or low went against the odds with only 2 winners out of 14 rounds. The crescendo of excitement soon hushed as it was eyes down for prize bingo.

A lovely way to spend an afternoon where the Tycoons could see what a difference, they have made by providing company and laughter.

Over 90 people in total have attended their Wednesday events as AKS students continue to work closer with Bev Sykes, her volunteers, and members of ‘Just Good Friends'.
