Senior

Made 116 batting first, with many starts but no one going on with it. Made a great fist of defending it despite one of their batter making an outstanding half century. Showed a lot of heart and gave it everything, even managing to get it to the last over but unfortunately to no avail. All the very best to our leavers Frankie, Morgan (Captain), Nathan and Fraser who have been outstanding contributors to the cricket programme over their years.

Senior girls played 2 matches versus Lancaster Royal Grammar School, winning both. Evie F (Y10) taking 5 wickets!

U15

In an extraordinary game of cricket, AKS U15s chased down KGS cricket 144 inside 17 overs, with Felix T hammering 82 no (54) & excellent contributions from Toby C & Sam L.

U14

Cup: AKS U14 85 All out
Ripley U14 45 All out

A disappointing opening batting for AKS saw them 4/3 after just 3 overs, Kelly & Urquhart both out for 0.  Dineley and Curran put on a bit of a recovery with the bat, although it was Curran and Flintoff who gave best batting displays, both scoring double figures of 11 and 12.  Lots of extras from the hosts pushed AKS total to 85 all out.

In response, the bowling was much stronger, with early wickets taken by Curran, 2 with his first 2bowls.  With the hosts losing wickets quickly, Evie F also got in on the act taking her first senior wicket for the boys, a great start for herself.

Wickets for Dineley, Wyles, Urquhart and Curran again finished off the hosts on 45 all out.

MOM: Curran Bat 11 Bowl 6/3

U13

U13 lost by 10 runs in low score affair. Bowled Kirkham out for 67 in 18.5 overs. We were all out for 57 from 17.2 overs. Bowling and fielding was exceptional from all. Panicked a little with the bat but the pitch didn’t help matters again unfortunately.

U12

KGS U12 v AKS
Tied game AKS set their opposition 84 to win. KGS all out on the final ball going for the winning run. Archie displayed a cool head as captain and played the game in the spirit to be applauded - EVERYBODY bowled.
