Social Enterprise Tycoons group Just New friends held another games afternoon and they set Bev Sykes a target of 25 guests.
A ‘Fancy Afternoon Tea’ and a warm welcome was delivered in the Pavilion despite the freezing conditions outside. It was lovely to see some new faces and 40 minutes of chat and laughter proceeded a fierce ‘Beetle Drive’ and the childlike joy of finally rolling a six. A few rounds of ‘Dominos’ to follow before our two natural bingo experts called ‘eyes down’.
The afternoon was finished with yet another incredible round of ‘Play Your Cards Right’ – it goes without saying the cards favoured some tables and were cruel to others.
Easter themed prizes were aplenty and an especially joyous way to spend a rather bleak Wednesday afternoon!
It was a particularly busy time for the students, as you could see some of them came straight from the annual Boys vs Girls Hockey match. Well done for the juggle!
A special mention to the AKS catering staff, in particular Dom whose pastries won the hearts of all. Further thanks to Miss O’Hara for her hospitality at her first games event and it goes without saying to Bev Sykes and her team of volunteers for their logistical skills!
The next target for the Tycoons is a special summer event for 50 guests – watch this space!
