To prepare you for your future, both professionally and also personally. As such, our expectations, teaching, accommodation and priviledges reflect the fact that you are now young adults.

What AKS Sixth Form Offers

First Class Teaching: An experienced and highly qualified network of teachers and tutors will give you the personal attention and support, “Teaching is effective in meeting the aim of the school to guide each individual to develop and grow into a knowledgeable and successful young adult.” ISI Inspection Report 2016.

Wide Curriculum Choices: The majority of students take three A levels, with many also choosing to take the External Project Qualification. Our subjects include all of the Russell Group’s facilitating subjects. Alternative curriculum arrangements are also considered where appropriate, “The curriculum is excellent. Personalised Learning: All students are allocated a form tutor who remains the same throughout the sixth form. Your form tutor will be the driving force in guiding and monitoring your progress, both academic and pastoral, At each point in school life, pastoral systems and well-considered plans create a structure that ensures that students are provided with excellent support and guidance to progress with confidence to the next phase.” ISI Inspection Report 2016
