AKS Junior Hockey Camp

Sun, smiles and skills have all been on show at this week's Junior Hockey Camp, delivered in partnership with Fylde Hockey Club. We're delighted to welcome experienced coach Chris Simcock (Head of Coaching at Fylde Hockey Club) to bring an added dimension to the sessions.

Chris' focus has been on the technical and tactical aspects of the game and has been impressed at the speed of development across all players in Years 5-8. A particular highlight has been the goalkeeping sessions with England Academy U16 player, Anya (Year 11) who's been inspiring the next generation of AKS hockey stars.

Our Senior Hockey Programme starts tomorrow and runs for the remainder of the week.

This programme is being piloted this year with AKS students, but following the response and feedback we've already received, we'll look at extending our capacity to offer places to our wider community in future years.
