Year 8 Design Competition 2019 Announced

'Rethink, Reuse, Re-imagine & Recycle'

We're delighted to announce this year's Year 8 Recycling challenge:

Year 8 have begun to appreciate the effects of waste materials on the environment in their Design & Technology classes. For this year's competition, our students have been challenged to 'Rethink, Reuse, Re-imagine & Recycle' plastic in to a new functioning product to enter one of 2 categories:

1. Designing for a developing country; or,
2. Designing for everyday life in the UK.

Students have been encouraged to get their families involved & discuss environmental concerns. Classes will vote for the top 3 class entries who will proceed to the final stage where 2 guest judges will determine 1st, 2nd & 3rd placed products in year 8.
