Six weeks ago, we proudly introduced our new Praise and Reward System and, as we approach the half term break, it's time to celebrate the fantastic achievements of our students. The new system has been met with such enthusiasm and we're thrilled to share the progress made so far.
In Year 7, an impressive 35 students have earned their Bronze certificates by achieving 15 commendations. Additionally, we have five Year 7 students who have gone above and beyond, earning their Silver certificates for achieving over 30 commendations. Congratulations to Arabella, Fraser, Millie, Alex and Freya.
Moving on to Year 8, it has been a close competition for merits this half term, with several students consistently performing well. However, two students have emerged as top achievers, congratulations to Antonia and Issy H.
In Year 9, the top performers for this half term are Arish and Victoria, while in Year 10, we recognise the outstanding achievements of Ava, Tom and Sienna C. From Year 11, the spotlight shines on Oliver and Chloe. Special mentions also have to go to Kacy in Year 12 and Daisy in Year 13.
Of course, while individual achievements are important, our new Praise and Reward System also emphasises teamwork as each merit contributes to a number of house points. After tallying up the house points across all year groups, the standings for this half term are:
1st place: Samlesbury
2nd place: Gawthorpe
3rd place: Rufford
4th place: Leighton
These points will be added to the rest of the house points from all events this half term and next to crown the winning house overall for the Autumn term in December.
