Year 2 Prep pupils learn about Lowry

Pupils in Year 2 this week learnt that artist Lowry worked very hard as a rent collector, and often painted his pictures between the hours of 11.00 pm and 2.00 am!.

Lowry lived with his mother who told him his work was boring and dull. For this reason, there was a period of time when his paintings of people became sad.  Even his self-portraits became sad. Here are some of our Year 2 pupils sketching Lowry when he was sad.
