Spring success across the school in LAMDA exams

PUBLISHED 30 June 2022

Most of the Speech and Drama students took their LAMDA exam in Spring this year. I was absolutely delighted with the outstanding results across both Prep and Senior Schools, with 100% pass rate, comprising 48 Distinctions and 4 Merits.

I was especially proud of Years 2, 3 and 6 who achieved Distinctions across the board! Students taking their very first LAMDA exams included Jasmine S., Charlie H., Mohammed H. and Joseph M.

In Senior School, the Year 7 actors’ group, Amelie C., Reya B. and Anika R. presented a very entertaining extract from the play, Toad of Toad Hall for their first group exam. They achieved a high Distinction with 92%.

There were some very complimentary remarks from the examiner, including:

"Samuel you are a confident and engaging performer who can fill a room with energy and enjoyment. There is a lovely sense of fun in your playing and you are a believable and expressive performer." Feedback for Samuel, Year 7, 97%.

"Anya you are a delightful performer and totally involve yourself in characterisation which is very engaging. There is a natural and unforced style with charming facial play." Feedback for Anya, Year 9, 95%.

Congratulations everyone, I am extremely proud of you all!
