AKS are celebrating as another pupil gains International Sporting Honours. Following the selection of Anya J for the England U16 hockey Squad, Tristan W for the England U18 Rugby squad and Year 7 Gracie G representing England in the World Dance Championship AKS Year 10 pupil Evie F has been selected for the English U18 Archery Team for the forthcoming JUNIOR COMMONWEALTH/EURONATIONS ARCHEY TOURNAMENT to be held at Lilleshall Sports Centre at the end of July.

The Tournament is held in conjunction with the Archery GB Youth festival, a five-day international archery event where junior archers compete each day in team and individual competitions and  Evie will be shooting in the Cadet Ladies U18’s group.

At the beginning of 2022 Evie teamed up with Archery GB coach Craig Hobin and has concentrated on target archery and focussing on representing England at Junior National level which she has achieved after a superb season which has seen her achieve the accolades below:-

3 AGB National Junior Archery Championship Titles

3 Northern Counties Archery Society Junior Regional Championship Titles

9 Junior County Championship Titles

7 Archery GB National Junior Records

33 Northern Counties Archery Junior Records

36 Lancashire County Archery Junior Records

Evie is also ranked No 3 in the UK for Target Archery and No 2 in the UK for Clout Archery (distance shooting) and she has also attained Junior Master Bowman Classification, the highest Junior level achievable.

The future certainly looks bright for Evie  and we wish her every success for the tournament in July.
