We are an independent day school based in Lytham St Annes. Our Nursery and Prep School has its own purpose built environment, with a seamless transition to our Senior School and Sixth Form, making it ideal for families with children atdifferent stagesof their education. AKS is part of the United Learning group.
We can arrange a visit during theSummer holidays where you can meet our Admissions Team and see our school site or you may prefer tocome and see learning in action on a typical school day when we return for the Autumn term. Our taster days provide an opportunity for children to experience the curiosity and creativity that thrives within our classrooms and beyond. We can arrange a taster day at our Prep or Senior School throughout the school term.
A Seamless Transition
Moving schools is a significant decision and our team works closely with families to ensure that any transition is as smooth as possible.
From their first day, new students are supported by staff and fellow students to help them settle quickly into school life, build friendships and feel part of the AKS community. Our pastoral teams, tutors and teachers work closely with parents throughout the process.
Entry Points and Subject Choices
Whether your child is approaching a key transition point or is already part way through their studies, we can advise on the options available.
Our Admissions Team can provide guidance on entry into Prep School, Senior School and Sixth Form, including GCSE and A Level pathways, helping families understand how a move to AKS could work for their individual circumstances. If your child is currently in Year 9 and starting their GCSEs in September or if they are mid-way through their GCSE programme, our team is able to guide you through choices and the transition
