Last week in Design & Technology, Year 7 explored product designs from the past hundred years, using their discoveries to inspire new and imaginative pattern ideas. Drawing on this research, pupils were then challenged to incorporate elements from influential designers into their own bespoke Remembrance poppies.
The results were thoughtful, creative and respectfully produced, reflecting both their understanding and appreciation of the symbolism behind the poppy. Winning designs from the Year 7 poppy competition will be announced in D&T lessons next week.
