Year 3 and Year 4 Adventure at Leighton Hall

Year 3 and Year 4 had a fantastic time on their recent visit to Leighton Hall, enjoying a day packed full of outdoor adventure and teamwork. Set in the stunning woodland surroundings, the children took part in exciting den-building and survival skills activities, learning how to work together, problem-solve and make use of natural materials. Both Year 3 and Year 4 children showed great enthusiasm for the activities and relished the opportunity to enhance their outdoor skills, working cooperatively with friends to design and construct impressive dens and waterproof shelters. Teamwork, communication and creativity were on full display throughout the day.

One of the highlights of our visit was learning basic survival skills and making smores on the campfire – a real treat that everyone loved. The children were also able to spend time exploring the amazing woodlands, discovering wildlife, and developing a deeper appreciation for the natural environment. It was wonderful to see the children challenge themselves, support one another and gain confidence throughout the day. They represented the school brilliantly and returned feeling happy and full of stories from their memorable outdoor experience.

A huge thank you to the staff at Leighton Hall and to the accompanying AKS staff for making this such a successful and enjoyable visit.
