The Wyre and Fylde Under 11 Sportshall Athletics Finals at Blackpool Sports Centre was a much anticipated event and it certainly did not disappoint.
It was a fantastic evening of sport, packed with fast paced running races, impressive jumping performances and powerful throwing events. The atmosphere was loud, fun and fiercely competitive, with every school giving their very best in pursuit of a podium finish.
Our team performed consistently well across all disciplines, showing determination, teamwork and resilience throughout. Every athlete gave it their all and truly brought their A game, supporting one another and rising to the occasion when it mattered most.
The highlight of the evening was achieving our highest ever finish, an outstanding third place overall. This is an incredible achievement and a real testament to the hard work, commitment and positive attitude of the children.
They represented AKS with pride from start to finish. A superb performance and a brilliant sporting occasion. Well done to everyone involved.
