On Wedneday 2nd October, Adam Brown, Co-ordinator of Co-curricular Music, hosted the first of this year’s Tea Time Concerts in the Senior School Recital Room.
As always, it was an eclectic mix of genres, ranging from musicals to classical, performed by students from Years 7 to 13. Sixteen students performed solos and duets on guitar, flute, clarinet, piano and voice. In true "AKS style" we had several multi-talented students rushing in from hockey pitch to then perform solos on the flute!
With the last performance by Maisie (voice) and Ella A (piano) attracting a loud final round of applause – a fitting end to the concert which opened with Hugo F (Year 13) who played Impromptu in Ab Major on the piano.
Well done everyone – it’s whetted our appetites for the Autumn Concert which takes place on Wednesday 16th October. Tickets will go on sale shortly.
