Congratulations to everyone who took part in the Autumn Concert, held in the OAKS Hall last night.
Once again, we were treated to an eclectic programme, including music from the likes of The Trammps and Jennifer Hudson right through to Debussy and Charles Gounod sung/played by Anya K, Isaac B, 8:FIFTEEN, Edward S, Hugo F, Sammy C, Kirtika S, Penny D, Eve C and newcomer Elena B.
Participation in musical ensembles is increasing year-on-year, with the Concert Band, Chamber Choir, Swing Band and Senior Choir boasting very healthy numbers of performers, indeed the Senior Choir now struggle to fit on the stage, with over sixty performers from all year groups.
There was also a taste of what we can look forward to from this year’s musical, Sweeney Todd, which will take place in January at the Lowther Pavilion, when principals, Henry and Ella performed a medley from the show.
The whole Senior Choir took to the stage for the finale performing The Seal Lullaby and This Is Me, featuring Eve C alongside Carly W.
Many thanks to our Music Department and peripatetic teachers for all their support.
