Pupils Shine at Lytham Heritage Art Exhibition

This year our school has taken part in an Art Exhibition organised by Lytham Heritage Group.

Thirty five children were chosen to represent the school from Key StageTwo and their work has been on public display for all to see.

Six local schools took part and the organisers of the exhibition judged each year group selecting a first prize and a highly commendedfromeach year.

Ella was fortunate to win a highly commended prize for her Year 5 work based on Jawlensky’s Mystica lHeads painted in poster paints and embellished with oil pastels.

Alena won a first prize for herself portraitinspired by the work of Romero Britto which was painted carefully on poster paint with felt tip detail.

Both girls enjoyed an exciting evening at the exhibition where the prizes were awarded by the Mayor and mayoress.

Well done to all the children involved!
