AKS Action are proud to once again support the Link to Hope Shoebox Appeal, a charity initiative that aims to spread kindness and joy to families and individuals in need this festive season in Eastern Europe.
As part of AKS Action, we are setting a whole school goal to donate 100 shoeboxes. To achieve this, we kindly ask each student to participate by preparing a shoebox filled with essential items for those in need.
Each shoebox should include the following items:
- Priority Items
- Toothbrushes & Toothpaste
- Candles & Holders
- Small Games – Draughts/Playing Cards
- Sweets/Chocolates – Packets
- Soap & Flannels
Other items you could purchase and send us for the Shoebox Appeal
- Colouring Pads, Crayons/Pencils/ Calculators, A5 Pads
- Small Toys – Yo-yo’s, Skipping Ropes, Toys cars etc
- Gifts for parents – DIY tools, tape measures, lightweight head scarves, jewellery
- Toiletries – Shampoo, new make up, moisturiser, hairbrushes
- Reading Glasses, Wooden Cutlery, Sensory Items, Hot Water Bottles, Work Gloves, Socks & Tights (New), Wind Up Radio/Torch, Scissors, Nail Clippers etc
Please bring your unsealed shoebox to school by the 8th November. On the front of your shoeboxes should be a completed contents list with the £3 delivery cost sellotaped to the top, please see attached. If you would like a paper copy of the contents list please email or speak to Mrs Grant (jessica.grant@akslytham.com) and she will provide you with one.
