We were delighted to welcome our new starters today for their induction morning ahead of the official first full day of the Autumn Term tomorrow, when they will join the whole school community.
Our Reception pupils made a wonderful impression as they arrived in their smart new uniforms, with tiny blazers and shiny shoes. Full of excitement and curiosity, they proudly waved goodbye to their families and took their first steps into school life. For many, this was their very first classroom experience and the beginning of friendships and routines that will shape their time at AKS. It was a joy to see their enthusiasm as they embarked on their school journey.
Our new Year 7s also enjoyed a special morning as they moved confidently into senior school. They began the day by meeting their new teachers and classmates, before exploring the spaces that will soon become familiar parts of their daily life. The transition to senior school is an important milestone and today’s induction gave them the chance to build connections, ease any nerves, and share in the excitement of the opportunities ahead. Their energy and enthusiasm set a positive tone for the year to come.
We were equally thrilled to welcome our new Year 12 students, fresh from their GCSE successes. It was wonderful to see so many of our students alongside so many new faces moving up into Sixth Form. Their induction marked the start of an exciting new chapter filled with fresh challenges, wider responsibilities and the chance to explore their academic passions in greater depth.
Tomorrow we look forward to the whole school community coming together and to the start of another fantastic year ahead.
