At AKS, we are always delighted to celebrate the achievements of our students beyond the school day. Whether competing at regional, national or international level, their commitment, determination and enthusiasm are a credit to themselves, their families and the wider school community.
We were delighted to receive news of these recent achievements from families and are pleased to celebrate the success of our students beyond the classroom.
Sienna W enjoyed an outstanding season with Langley's Dance Academy, winning six Gold and two Silver medals as part of the team that was crowned Overall School Champion. She has also qualified for the Can You Dance? National Finals.
On the tennis court, Amelia finished as runner-up in the Lancashire County Tennis Championships, while Winnie VR has been selected for Lancashire Cricket's inaugural Emerging Engagement Programme.
Sienna K continues to excel in hockey and dance. She has been selected for Fylde Hockey Club's 2025/26 Young Leaders Programme, continues her role as a Young Leader with the Red Rose Raiders Lancashire Hockey Programme, and has also completed her A-Level Ballet examination at just 14 years of age.
In the pool, Arran enjoyed a superb season, recording six personal bests, winning a full set of medals at the Blackpool Swimming Gala and raising more than £500 through Swimathon.
Freddie also celebrated an exceptional achievement at the British National Waterski Championships, where he won three Gold medals and one Silver medal. His winning jump of 26.4 metres is the longest recorded in Europe this year in the Under 12 division.
On the football pitch, Toby S helped his team win the Fylde & Lancashire Youth Football League Under 14 Shield Final, earning the Player of the Match award. Emily and Jasmine were runners-up at both the Colne Under 11 Girls and Elswick Under 10 Mixed tournaments before lifting the Champions League Cup at the Darwen Under 10 Girls Tournament.
Our cheerleaders also enjoyed international success. Mila N finished fifth in Europe with Scorpions Allstars Icon at the European Summit Cheerleading Championships in Portugal, while Evie (Year 7) and Ava (Year 5) helped Scorpions Allstars Infusion secure a top-10 European finish.
In golf, Lukas has enjoyed a remarkable year. He won the St Annes Old Links Junior Open against a field of 84 competitors, helped Lancashire to victory over Cheshire, earned promotion to the Lancashire Under 18 squad, reduced his handicap from 3.8 to 0.9, currently sits third in the Junior Scottish Tour Order of Merit, and has qualified for the prestigious St Andrews Boys' Championship this summer.
