As we reach the end of the half term, the school community has taken time to recognise and celebrate the effort, commitment, and positive attitudes shown by students across all year groups.
Over the past five weeks, students have demonstrated determination, maturity, and a strong willingness to give their best, both in lessons and through wider school life. This was particularly evident in the recent school production ofLes Misérables, which was something truly extraordinary. It served as a reminder of what is possible when individuals commit, work hard, and come together to create something bigger than themselves.
Outstanding Individual Achievements
This half term, a number of students were recognised for consistently exceeding expectations.
In Year 7, 23 students achieved the Gold Award by earning over 50 commendations each, reflecting sustained effort and commitment. Five students went on to achieve the Platinum Award, earning over 75 commendations this term. Congratulations to Henry, Nithin, Logan, Holly, and Henrietta for this exceptional achievement.
In addition, three Year 7 students were recognised for achieving the highest number of commendations in their forms since the previous reward assembly. Well done to Henrietta (7A), Winnie (7K), and Lucca (7S).

House Success and Collective Contribution
Alongside individual recognition, every merit and commendation has contributed to house totals, reinforcing the importance of collective effort. With house points awarded for merits and commendation certificates, all students play a role in their house’s success.
After combining house points from this half term with those accumulated earlier in the year, the current standings are:
- Gawthorpe
- Samlesbury
- Leighton
- Rufford
These results reflect the combined efforts of students across all year groups. House points from events later in the term will be added before the final standings are confirmed. The school is proud of the achievements celebrated this half term and thanks all students for their continued effort, commitment, and contribution to school life
