AKS Year 11 Students Celebrate GCSE Success

AKS Lytham is celebrating the achievements of its Year 11 students as they mark another strong set of GCSE results and look ahead to the next stage of their education.

Throughout their Senior School journey, this year group has combined academic ambition and achievement with an impressive contribution to the wider life of AKS. From memorable performances on stage and commitment on the sports field to music, leadership, service, CCF and Duke of Edinburgh, their contribution has been felt across all areas of school life.

Headmaster David Harrow said:

“As always, we have been delighted to see strong individual and collective grades on the day, and these are undoubtedly important. But, much more than that is what is not measured by the numbers - the great performances on stage, the energy and endeavour in sport, the contribution to the community, and the development of the future-facing skills and characteristics needed to thrive in the times to come.

“That it has all been done with such good cheer and camaraderie from this super year group is the real mark of the people they are becoming, and I look forward with keen anticipation as they move into the Sixth Form, taking another step towards an impactful and exciting future.”
