As a former student of the school, Amy is very much looking forward to returning to her roots, reminiscing on days gone by, whilst embracing the many exciting changes that have taken place since.
Having trained as a teacher in 2012, Amy has spent the last thirteen years teaching across the Fylde Coast in a range of humanities subjects, including Religious Studies, History, Geography and PSHE. With a passion for the study of people, childhood development, mental health and human behaviour, Amy studied Psychology at the University of Liverpool prior to her teaching degree, which she found to be fascinating. Linking to this, she explored the relationship between religious beliefs and mental wellbeing for her two-year dissertation, which inspired her to train as a Religious Studies teacher.
Away from the classroom, Amy is most often found at the stables, teaching her children to ride and preparing them for competition days. A keen sportsperson herself, she enjoys getting ready for upcoming equestrian events and, in her school days, was a proud and active member of various sports teams.
She is now looking forward to the new and exciting adventures that lie ahead as she returns to be part of the AKS community.
