Join AKS Lytham

Enquiries from prospective families are welcome at any time and we are always happy to arrange a tour of the school.

AKS Lytham welcomes families from across Lytham St Annes, the Fylde Coast, Blackpool and Preston. School transport routes support access from areas including Thornton-Cleveleys, Poulton-le-Fylde, Kirkham, Freckleton, Fulwood, Penwortham, Longton and Grimsargh.

You can find out more about our main entry points below. While many pupils join at key transition stages, it is not unusual for students to join AKS in other year groups, or at different points during the academic year, subject to availability.

To book a tour, you can register here. Alternatively, please contact our Registrar, Liz Wyatt, by emailing admissions@akslytham.com or calling 01253 784104.

Yes, students are welcome at any point. We will do everything we can to accommodate you. Please speak to our admissions team for more information and to book in a tour of the school.

Can I apply for year groups other than Year 7?

Yes, we would encourage anybody interested in joining AKS Lytham to come and have a chat to our staff and admissions team. We have students who join us for various reasons at various times of their lives. Some students have been with us since Prep School, othesr join in Year 10 for their GCSE’s.

When is best to apply for Year 7?

Most applications are received when prospective students are in Year 6, to apply to join the following September. Please contact our admissions team for a registration form.

Is there any financial assistance avaliable when joining AKS Lytham?

Yes, there is financial assistance available on a means-tested basis. Please contact the admissions team for more information.

We ask that financial assistance applications be submitted in the Autumn Term whilst your child is in Year 6. An assessment will take place once the child is registered for the entry assessment and the outcome will be communicated following the conclusion of the entry assessments.

Are scholarships offered at AKS?

Yes, there is an academic scholarship, which is based partially on performance in the entrance assessment, as well as references and reports from school, plus feedback from the chat with senior staff members.

We also offer scholarships for Sport and Performing Arts for eager, talented and passionate students.

Please send the applications for scholarships with the entry assessment application. For more information, please contact our admissions team.
