The AKS U15’s enjoyed a 4-0 victory over Giggleswick. In a tight first half where the rhythm of the team was repeatedly disrupted by the opposition Camilla W scored a fine goal to take a slender lead. Whilst the defence was under pressure at times, it didn’t ever feel like the opposition would score. At half time, the team spoke about the importance of maintaining their structure and discipline. A brighter second half followed with 2 more goals from Camilla W and a goal from Gabby H-S after intelligent and quick play from Emily F. Congratulations to the whole squad. OPOM – Camilla W
AKS U14 continued their winning ways with an impressive 8- 0 victory against Giggleswick.
We started on the front foot and went ahead after only 5 minutes when Alyssa W found the net with a great strike after good work from Eloise R and Sophia T. This set the tone of the match and three quick goals in 5 minutes 2 by Sophia T and one from Alyssa W saw us take control of the game. Playing some great hockey we dominated and goals from Sadie A and a hat trick goal from Sophia T made it 6-0 at the break.
After the break the team looked to put in to practice the team tactics we worked on in training and players experienced playing different positions and with two further goals from Alyssa W we secured a well deserved win. Players of the match were Evie G and 4 goal Alyssa W.
The U13A team put in a fantastic performance to win 16 – 0 against a spirited Giggleswick team. The team moved the ball around with confidence, switched positions seamlessly and created plenty of scoring opportunities. Penny A was named the player of the matchfor her outstanding all-round display. A brilliant result and great team effort.
The U13B’s delivered a dominant display to secure a 10–0 win over Giggleswick. From the outset, the team controlled possession, combined well in attack, and showed strong defensive discipline to keep a clean sheet. A superb all-round performance highlighted AKS’s teamwork, energy, and clinical finishing.
The U12A brilliant start to the season with a commanding 0–8 victory over Giggleswick. In their first outing, the team showed great promise, adapting well to different positions and beginning to gel effectively as a unit. It was fantastic to see such teamwork on the pitch, supported by an encouraging crowd from the very start. Plenty of positives to build on, with exciting opportunities for further progress ahead.
The U12B team also had a winning start to their season. An excellent first game for the team saw them show a massive amount of development from start to finish. The team provided a brick wall in defence. Sticks down stopped any potential threat. Up front the team piled on pressure and converted their chances. Towards the end of the game the team were clearly working into space and stretching the opposition which saw them score 5 goals.
