Lisa joins England U16 hockey team training sessions

PUBLISHED 21 August 2023

Lisa (Year 11 from September) started playing hockey at AKS school in year 3 and she enjoyed it throughout her junior school years, often playing up, in the year above. As Lisa went into the senior school, her involvement in hockey grew and she found a true passion for the sport, enjoying both matches and training sessions alike.

She then started at Fylde Hockey Club at the age of 11 and played in the U12, U14 and U16 teams, also playing with the ladies teams (starting with ladies 6’s when she was just 13).  She has now progressed up the ranks to the Ladies 2s last season, although has also played a couple of games for the ladies 1sts

Two years ago, Lisa was selected for the North West Talent Academy and hasn't looked back since! She attended the Festival of Hockey, against the best young talent at the University of Nottingham, from where she's been selected for assessment training sessions with England U16s.

This is an amazing achievement for such a talented player, congratulations Lisa, we look forward to following your development!
