Infants and Juniors

As children grow and develop, our approach evolves enabling them to flourish.  We have outstanding class and specialist teachers who exemplify our Mission Statement of ‘Academic Ambition’, ‘Individual Pathways’ and ‘Success and Value’.

Our children embody The AKS Way; they are hardworking, polite and extremely well accomplished students in their academic lessons as well as in music, drama and sport. Their wellbeing is central to their learning.

Our character education programme is fully embedded throughout the whole school, using the Round Square Discovery Framework, which encourages the children to think critically about the values of internationalism, democracy, environmentalism, being adventurous, leadership and service in the community.

Our children attend residential trips from Year 3 to build their tenacity and resilience, and visit the Senior School on a daily basis to fully support their transition to the next stage of their learning. The children choose their individual pathways through our extensive co-curricular programme. We invite you to see how we seek to ignite the natural curiosity and desire to learn across our curriculum, covering computing, creative arts skills, physical development skills, additional languages of French, Spanish and German, the STEM subjects of science, technology, engineering and maths
