AKS Students impress during their English Language iGCSE assessments

PUBLISHED 15 September 2019

Last week, a number of Year 11 students completed the Spoken Endorsement assessments which form part of their English Language iGCSEs. The assessments required students to devise and present a 10 minute speech to demonstrate their presentation skills in a formal setting. They also had to demonstrate their ability to listen and respond to questions and feedback, as well as using spoken English effectively.

The standard once again has been impressive this year, with a range of stimulating topics chosen and presented, including musical theatre, martial arts and sport.

Two presentations which made a significant impression were one which covered the competitive world of dance and another which addressed the highly sensitive topic of Auschwitz.

The sheer breadth of topics chosen by Year 11 reflects the holistic education they have received here at AKS. Having all followed their #IndividualPathways, they have certainly embraced the many opportunities presented to them over the years. Well done Year 11!
