Girls secure places in Lancashire Hockey U13 teams

Layla and Kirtika have had an excellent start to senior school since they moved up from prep school to start Year 7 in September. It’s great to hear that they love being in seniors and are continuing to show dedication in both their school work and hockey.

Both girls are progressing well within the England pathway, which has required them to go up against girls from Year 8 to make the Lancashire teams. They have been going to trials since the beginning of September and we’re delighted to confirm that they’ve both secured a place in one of the teams and have been promoted from the development centre to the academy (as part of the England pathway).

They have been joined by their good friend Lisa, also from Year 7, who’s currently too young to have attended the trials with them but will start her Lancashire journey next month. Lisa has also been critical to the success of the Fylde Blue U13 team, who are currently leaders of the local league table. We hope our girls continue to settle into senior school well, wish them all the best in their hockey development and look forard to seeing them play for AKS, following their incredible success for the prep school last year (Lancashire Champions, North West Champions and 3rd in North of England Championship).
