Year 3 pupils sketch Westby Street houses PUBLISHED 27 May 2021 The children in Year 3 have been learning about the amazing Austrian artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser. The children learned that the artist hated straight lines, loved bright colours, and as well as painting pictures also designed houses, some of which were actually built, he also designed conservation posters, and his work featured on Austrian stamps. The class sketched some of the houses in Westby Street, Lytham. They then painted them as the artist might have preferred - in bright colours using wavy lines. Further details and his trademark "lollypop trees" were added later. Well done Year 3 AUTHOR: AKS Lytham PUBLISHED: 27 May 2021 CATEGORIES: Creative Arts
