Eight Year 10 students devour a feast of maths challenges!

Yesterday a group of eight Year 10 students and two Year 12 helpers went to Blackpool Sixth Form College for the AMSP Year 10 Maths Feast Competition.

The Maths Feast is a fun educational challenge for Year 10 students, which tests problem-solving and teamwork skills. Teams of four students get to test their maths skills with an all-you-can-eat feast of problems!

There were several rounds requiring different skills and strategies for success, and each event took between two and three hours.

All eight students participated well, and got fully involved in the process. There were 20 teams that took part, and four rounds. One of our teams consisting of Anirudh, Amber, Alfie and Victoria won round 3. They did not finish in the top 2 overall but did themselves and the school proud!

Well done to everyone who participated in the competition.
