AKS Amnesty Group take donations to International Aid

It was an amazing day yesterday here in school - a shining example of AKS at it's best.

Sixth Formers helped load the huge volumes of Ukraine donations onto two minibuses and Mr Hull's campervan. The vehicles were absolutely packed!

Our Year 9 Amnesty superstar girls - Lillia, Lily, Emma, Lucy, Eva, Grace and Georgia - then went along to International Aid in Lostock Hall for the afternoon to help with unpacking. The 7 girls were chosen based on their work to create the 500 pin ribbon badges. They had each devoted 4 extra lunchtimes last week to create the badges - and to date have raised £580 from sales.

The donations of clothing and food should be leaving International Aid for Ukraine on Friday.
