"Gung Hei Fat Choy" - Reception pupils learn about Chinese New Year

'Gung Hei Fat Choy' to all our AKS families who have been celebrating the Chinese New Year this week. 

In Reception, our pupils have learning about Chinese New Year and there has been a dragon theme evident in the classroom. Children have been busy creating masks and imaginative dragons using cake cases for the body. 

Charlie talked to the class about how his family celebrates and he kindly brought in 'fortune cookies' for his friends and teachers to try.

Reception teacher Miss Allen opened her cookie which encouraged her to take small steps to make changes in her life, whilst Mrs Walsh was encouraged to take a giant leap. Who will be the lucky one?
