Mollie scores first England Goal to defeat Wales

After a successful season for the AKS 1st XI which saw the team play in the National Finals in London AKS Year 13 pupil Mollie continues to impress on the international hockey scene as a member of the England U18 squad.

After a series of training camps the England U18 team took on a Wales U21 side in a training game and it saw Mollie celebrate her first international goal! After a close game against older, more experienced opposition the teams were level at 1 – 1 when Mollie stepped up to score with a superb drag flick corner to make it 2 – 1 and cap a superb individual performance and secure a well deserved win. Mollie has also been honoured by being named as Captain in a number of games as she continues to play a key role in the squad.

Mollie now has to balance the demands of her A level exams with more training camps in preparation for a series against Germany and Belgium with the culmination of the season being the 6 Nations European championships in July.
