AKS Photography Competition 'Cherish'

Given the word 'Cherish' as their inspiration, senior school students were invited to enter the AKS Summer Photography competition. The entries were varied and very exciting. Ideas ranged from cherished places to animals to objects and even moments. Results were announced at our last assembly of the year, with nine students' work judged to be 'Highly Commended' from Year 7 to Year 10.

The two runners up - Grace and Ashwin both received a high quality print of their work alongside an art kit. The winner was Carly from Year 7. Carly's image featured her Grandad holding a cherry and is titled "Cherry-ssshhhh (cherish) I cherish my Grandad!". The winning image and the two runners up are now on display in our Pavilion.

Our friends at Granthams ArtDiscount in Blackpool have kindly donated the exquisite canvas pints - which really shows off the quality of work from our students. Congratulations to them all. #IndividualPathways
