A new dimension of learning for Year 12 Physics Students

Our Year 12 Physics class had an exciting lesson last week.  They got up, close and personal with a #BMWi8 before hearing about the advanced engineering behind the plug-in hybrid sports car.  This new dimension of learning included discussions about recyclable material, sustainable energy, eDrive technology, intelligent electric energy management and the BMW i8's lightweight concept called LifeDrive architecture.

Although it was a bitterly cold afternoon, faces lit up as they got a quick chance to sit in the driving seat! After exploring the car at close quarters, the group then retreated into the warmth of their classroom to hear a talk about the principals and mechanics of advanced egineering.

Many thanks to Lloyd Motors for bringing the car on site and for delivering the talk. #EducationalEnrichment #AcademicAmbition
