School Council Easter Fun Day!

What a colourful, exciting day we had last Friday in the Junior School!

The children came to school wearing an array of Easter costumes, including chicks, bunnies of all sizes and beautifully decorated bonnets.  All the children took part in The Golden Egg Hunt in our school kitchen garden.  The ‘Bunnies’ hid lots of coloured plastic eggs and one special golden egg.  Each class went on their hunt and the all children won two mini eggs for finding an egg but the golden egg winners were presented with an Easter Egg in the assembly at the end of the school day.  Some of the council members visited the classes with a giant grey bunny and the children all took part in a competition to guess its name.  Lisa was our winner; the bunny was called Frank!

In our assembly Matron judged the best dressed competition whilst we did an Easter Conga around the hall.  The afternoon finished with a delicious Easter muffin and drink of juice from Mr Shepherd and our catering team.

We had a lot of fun whilst raising £312 for our worthwhile charities, N-Vision and Guide Dogs for the Blind.
