Lytham Parents’ Speaker Series

Dr Jo Elliot, Thursday 19th April

This is a new community-based programme for local parents, regarding common child mental health and parenting challenges (e.g. anxiety, resilience, body image, positive discipline, understanding our emotions) – focusing on how parents can best support their children / adolescents.  It is a not-for-profit, community event comprising a series of expert speakers invited to share their knowledge and experience and has been created for local parents, by local parents.  It will specifically target anxiety associated with exams (SATS, GCSEs, A Levels, etc.), as well as more generalised anxiety associated with social media and growing up.  This is the first of a series of impressive speakers being hosted at AKS Lytham in the Junior School but is also open to any members of the local community, please do share the poster attached and bring family, friends and colleagues along.  Childcare is also available on the evening.
