Libraries are Good for You
In Lower School Assembly this morning, we were exploring the links between reading, libraries and wellbeing as part of the UK Libraries Week initiative. We heard about the benefits of reading for enhancing our creative skills and emotional intelligence, as well as the ways in which reading helps us to relax and enjoy "screen-free" time. In Assembly, Dr.Hillman also launched our new library "Wellbeing Boxes" - containing mindfulness exercises, colouring and mood-boosting books and articles. The boxes are available to borrow from the Library or from Matron. Prizes and certificates were also awarded to students who completed our Summer reading challenge.
